Did you know we photograph weddings? We’ve been doing it for over a decade now, and we’ve seen hundreds of couples declare their love in front of their family and friends and sometimes a few complete strangers. It’s crazy to think lo’ those many years ago that we would have see everything we’ve seen. We’ve done tiny weddings under a dozen people and giant weddings with thirty attendants and hundreds of guests, and we’ve traveled all over. And it still surprises me who cries and who giggles through the whole ceremony.
Every wedding has the same feeling of joy and love, but at the same time, every wedding has something new and different. There was the time the bride and groom broke out into a choreographed version of Ice Ice Baby. Then there was the Mr. & Mrs. Yoda grooms cake where the couple took Yoda’s head home to save for their one year anniversary. We even shot the first ever wedding at the Georgia Aquarium. The bride booked the venue before construction was finished on the building!
Sometimes people ask me, “how can you photograph weddings? That sounds so stressful! I would never want to have that much pressure.” But that’s the excitement. We will never have the opportunity to capture these moments again. Ever. Better get it right the first time! And we do. Because we love every minute of it. It really is the best job ever.
