Camping Fun

We did some drive up camping this weekend with the Silveys and Mr. Richey. How fun was that. We had an air mattress and comfy chairs. It was like hanging out in your yard, only no house and lots of red neck families to watch. We cooked hot dogs and brats and made s’mores and toasted marshmallows. I revolutionized the s’more, by the way. Dove has these awesome mint chocolate cookies (they have ones without mint for you, Aaron). Just toast a marshmallow or two and slap two of those cookies around them and voila! Amazingly fabulous minty chocolate s’mores. YUM!
Anyway, it was great fun. Michael picked out a great spot with shade and a view of the water. It was pretty cool, weather wise. We even came back into town Saturday to do some bed shopping (no more futon mattress on the floor for us!) I slept better than I do at home (air mattresses on the ground beat out futon mattresses on the floor) Maybe this fall we’ll do some real camping that involves hiking and a lower volume of red neck familes.
