I spent hours tonight perfecting vomit! Oh, it was difficult. See, with vomit you want it to be thick enough to splat without that overly watery slosh, you want nice chunks & bits of unidentifiable goop, you need a great puke-y color and you need variety. Vomit can’t just be a beige puddle. NO! It must be a masterpiece of color, texture and shape.
Nate had initially thought of a savory vomit recipe, but it just sounded, well, too much like actual vomit. I feared it would make people actually vomit. Great for the realism of our film, I suppose. Not great for our already very tight schedule. Karrie talked to her husband about it (because that’s what we do, provide new and interesting conversation topics to our friends), and he had some sweet suggestions (literally & figuratively). We asked Brent, our lead, which he would prefer, sweet or savory, and the answer was pretty clear.
No, the trouble is, you want a good thick vomit, but we’re using some water pumps to move the stuff, so it has to get through the hoses and pump. I think we’ve found it. It’s so disgustingly perfect! I can’t wait to get my cards downloaded and share the pics of my vomit-filled refigerator. YUM!
OK, we start shooting tomorrow and I’m sleepy. So sleepy, I’m finding myself falling asleep mid sentence (AND I’M WRITING THEM! Bad sign). So off to bed with me! Pray for clear skys this weekend! 🙂
