Dan & Tammy

I am so excited to share this wedding with you guys! Dan & Tammy are actually jr. high school sweethearts. They dated when she was in 6th grade and he was in 8th grade, spending the summer hanging out at the pool. After a year together (which in jr. high time is FORVER!), she broke up with him. Dan is very clear on that. 😉 They went on their own ways and a few years ago reconnected. Tammy spent so much time practicing writing Mrs. Tammy Schaefer back in 6th grade that it came easily when she had to sign the marriage certificate.

We really had a fabulous time photographing this intimate wedding. There were eight of us at the reception dinner (that’s including Nathan and me), and we spent a week hanging out on the beach with the family. I hope they let us tag along again next time.

This was our wedding in Aruba where we missed our return flight (oh darn) and had to stay an extra day. That little travel hiccup just reminded me why we NEVER travel on days we are shooting. NEVER EVER EVER! You just don’t know what’s going to happen. Luckily, our hiccup landed us back on beautiful beaches and fabulous snorkling for one more day. Now I’m working on booking our next Aruba wedding so we can go back. 🙂
