This is going to sound dumb

You are not lame. I swear… you know that theory on mass…crap, i can’t even think of the theory now, but it’s the one where lots of people start thinking the same thing though there’s not really any evidence of reasons why people should react that way….. anyway, i think we are a product of that. Society has set standards that the “American Girl’s” wedding should be a certain way, aka, pouring billions of dollars into bullshit central. (Though, photography is a legitimate industry) We are brainwashed into thinking this is “THE most important” day of our lives. When really, when you think of it, it’s not. Yes, it’s in the top ten. But, realizing 40 years from the wedding that you did indeed, without a doubt, find your soulmate rates higher. Or seeing your children grow up to be healthy, one-of-a-kind-person rates higher. Or knowing, when you’re about the kick it, that you had a fulfilling life. Oh, and don’t get me started on the diamond industry. (Really uber Christians, you should be boycotting the DeBeers cartel instead of Disney.) Though, Claire, if you need something else to think about… come live in my house for awhile. I guarantee you’ll have “other” thinks to worry about!!!!!

it’s easy to get obsessed. I go from not thinking about it for a week to spending the next week on the internet and pouring over wedding mags.  I’ve decided that I’m not going to stress or worry about anything b’c in the end, you get married and that’s what people remember.
