Quick! Get a family portrait while the whole family is all together!

This portrait special ends at the end of July! We will be in Dallas July 15-18, so book a session while we’re in town.

The kids are finally home from college, but they have a full summer of work and travel with their friends planned. So what are you waiting for? The whole family is finally back together and we are having a summer portrait special!

What is this portrait special, you ask? Well, I’ll tell you. We are taking $150 off our regular sitting fee! That’s HALF OFF! Not only that, but each sitting includes $100 in print credit. That means the sitting itself is only $50 + $100 in print credits. A one hour family portrait ON LOCATION with all of that credit for only $150?! I know, you’re asking yourself, where do I sign up? That part is easy. Just send us an email and we’ll get you on our schedule. Hurry, because available dates are filling up. The first half of June we will be in California. But we have the last week of May still open and more availability starting the second half of June.

And while we’re on this topic, here’s a fun family portrait we did in Townsend. The Boyll family gathered the whole gang together for a fabulous reunion at one of the amazing cabins with views of the mountains. Actually, they needed a few cabins to hold them all. We did every group option you could imagine.

The four siblings with their mom.

Individual families.

Individual families with all of the in-laws and next generation babies.

The next generation of families.
Nana with all of her grandchildren.

The whole gang!

And of course we did lots of candids!

So what are you waiting for? And don’t worry, if your family is just one or two, you can still get in on this awesome deal. But if you’ve got a whole gang, bring ’em on! Weekdays and select weekend sessions are still available.

Behind the Scenes at Nicole & Rex’s wedding

Beth and Adam helped me shoot Nicole & Rex’s wedding the other week. Beth is my fabulous associate photographer and second shoots with me at most weddings. Adam is the master of the reflector and carrying a ridiculous amount of stuff so I’m free to lay on the ground or climb on the furniture.

We provide more than just photography services. We also handle dress transportation (until we can find someone more flower-girl/bridesmaid-y to take over and make a cute picture.

This is what Beth looks like when she’s shooting me.

Don’t worry, we won’t let the groom be all disheveled and crooked in the pictures.

And we wouldn’t want anyone’s tushy to get dirty.

Adam said “Let there be light” and lo’ there was a beautiful golden glow making all of the pictures look yummy!

Without my team, we couldn’t produce the amazing shots we do. Thanks, guys, for being amazing!

Graduating?

Tis the season for graduations. Your friends and family gather together, graduates bit teary farewells to their friends and professors, and then there are all of the cords and hats and robes. Do you have a photographer for that big day? I’m not talking about the photographer the school hired to take one picture of your grad shaking hands and getting their diploma. I’m talking about a photographer who will photograph Mom sniffling while her baby walks the platform, Dad smiling proudly as his daughter beams with her new title. High school, College, Graduate School, these are once in a lifetime events.

Last year we were at the UNC Asheville graduation and grabbed some real gems.

If you have a child (or an adult) graduating, and you want to get this big event professionally captured, give us a call. We do graduation parties as well.

Nicole and Rex

Hello All!

My name is Beth and I have been working with Rebecca Claire Photography for a little over a year now.  You may have glimpsed me with Claire from time to time, her stealthy ninja shadow covered in camera gear, diligently catering to her every whim, be it foot massage or back rub….

…but I digress.  In all seriousness, I have loved working with and learning from Claire.  I’m very excited that she invited me to guest blog about the latest wedding that we shot for Nicole and Rex.  Nicole is one of my dear friends and I was thrilled that she decided to go with Rebecca Claire Photography for her wedding, it was like a trifecta of awesomeness.  Needless to say the wedding went off perfectly: wonderful couple, fabulous weather, great venue, and loving family…what more can you ask for?

Nicole was a stunning bride!  Most of her jewelry and the bridal party’s jewelry were custom made by her and her friend Megan.

It was a gorgeous day.

Both Nicole and Rex had “Entourages” that made our job easy.  The Bridesmaids and Groomsmen were fun to work with and made us laugh.

See previous statement.

Not to mention the groom.   How can you deny those guns?

However, Rex was worried about messing up his tux with all the pollen that was on everything.   So Claire stepped in for a little quick clean up.  Because that’s how we roll…we want every picture to look great, and pollen covered pants do not look great.

A stealthy picture of our handy dandy assistant that day, Adam.  He’s fabulous with that reflector and makes our pictures glow!

So back to some more fabulous wedding pictures.  They’re excited, and I know you are.

The wedding was held at The Barn and was a beautiful and fun venue.

Rex and Nicole were naturals in front of the camera.

Except when Rex was about to sneeze.

Thank you guys for letting us be a part of your special day.  We had so much fun!

Cheers,

Beth

Posting about travel plans

So, as most people know, we  went to India last month. Now, in this age of social networking and posting TMI about our private lives, some people might think it’s foolish to post about leaving the country when you’re in a field such as mine where everyone knows you have fancy equipment. So why am I not concerned? Well, Nate & I pack everything of value and take it with us. So if someone were to break into our house (unnoticed by my fabulous neighborhood of families who are outside all the time, children who will question what you’re doing if it seems odd, and random dogs wandering about), they would be sorely disappointed.

Nathan & I are completely unable to go on vacation. We take all of our gear, including computers, everywhere JUST IN CASE we need to do a job on the road (and we have, oh yes. Just ask about the mock up Nathan created while riding through LITERALLY MIDDLE OF NOWHERE Mississippi with NO sign of civilization for at least 3 hours in any direction.)

I guess they could make off with our cats, but seriously, they are spoiled & whiney and will eat you out of house and home. Also, they only drink bottled water (the mineral content here backs up their systems & costs more to fix than friggin’ jugs of water, in their fancy water fountain. They would rather die that drink still water. We know this from experience-and a week of day-trips to the vet to be on an IV).

I guess if someone wanted to gather 6 of their nearest & dearest, they could stumble off with our currently out of tune baby grand, but I love that thing, so really, that’s not cool. Also, the neighbors would probably be suspicious about the circus moving a piano creates.

I guess what I’m saying is, unlike all of our neighborhoods in Atlanta, we know these neighbors. They know our friends & our friends’ vehicles. They know when we’re out of town and can recognize odd activities at our house. Most of all, nearly every house has someone home at all times, so it’s hard to be sneaky around here. I love our neighborhood.

Cutie Jamie

I photographed my friend’s first child a few years ago. Now this cutie is a big brother. But here are a few shots back when he was an only child. TOO CUTE!

My yard is FRIGGIN’ AWESOME!

I’m having the best time with my yard this spring. We need to finish getting the beds prepped so we can plant our garden veggies over the next few weeks, but we really busted our bums to get the front yard looking nice (no more scourge of the neighborhood for us!). Of course, some of the best stuff is from all of our labor last year. I finally took the time to shoot a few of my favorite things. There are so many shots, I’m just throwing a bunch up here. Then it’s off to clean clean clean! I am definitely feeling the spring cleaning itch!

Headshots

Today is the eWomen networking event & I’m doing headshots. I do this about once every 6 months and it works great. Everyone needs a good headshot, and I’m here’s to make sure that happens. So if you’re at the event today, hopefully I’ll see you.

If you can’t make it to the event, I also do headshots on location. I come to you and bring my backdrop and we just have a merry time.

But you don’t want a backdrop shot? Don’t worry! I do shots on location WITHOUT a backdrop.

And if you’re really feeling zany, we can mix it up and do both backdrop and environmental all in the same shoot. Complete with outfit change.

So there really is no reason anyone shouldn’t have a great professional headshot that’s updated & looks fabulous!.
